Piab’s piCOBOT® Electric Vacuum Gripper Unit
Piab’s piCOBOT® Electric is a fully electric vacuum pump unit that significantly expands a collaborative robot’s versatility without the use of compressed air. The lightweight design allows for direct mounting on the cobot’s tool flange and the absence of air tubing gives the cobot arm a completely unrestricted operating range.
piCOBOT® Electric is extremely energy efficient. The electric current provided on the cobot arm is sufficient for full functionality. With only one point of contact for both the electric feed and data flow, rapid unplugging and moving of the cobot setup is possible.

The piCOBOT® Docking Station holds additional end-effectors to facilitate automatic tool changing when using the tool changer for piCOBOT®. By automatically removing one gripping unit and picking-up another, no human interference is necessary, thereby ensuring a continuous, uninterrupted process.
